This is a regional exercise that centers on Lake County. It will deal a connection of hospitals in Colusa, Lake, Napa (St Helena), and Mendocino Counties. Santa Rosa may also be involved. Various frequencies will be checked and used. This will be a combination of repeaters (two meters) and simplex (two meters).

Some traffic may be passed also. A log of what frequencies and stations that were contacted would be nice and should be forwarded to me, WA6KLK. This event is a preparation for wide area medical commitments if the need should ever arise. This can also be used for any wide area disaster.

This is a good time to learn where and how to set up the radios at the various hospitals in your area. For additional information please contact me, WA6KLK.

  • Coffee Klatch - Every Tuesday 9:00 A.M. Gribaldo's Cafe 1551 South Main Street, Willits. For those living on the coast, every Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at T&W's (formally the Tradewinds Restaurant) 400 South Main Street, Fort Bragg. Also in Fort Bragg, there's a weekly breakfast get-together every Friday starting about 8:00 A.M. at the Laurel Street Deli (located adjacent to the Skunk Train Depot)
